What information do we collect about you?
The Advance site collects personal information when you access one of our services.
How will we use the information about you?
Personal information you provide to the Advance will be used for providing ongoing support for you and will be retained as evidence to comply with audit or legislative requirements.
Advance will also share your information with trusted partners who are delivering business support services on Doncaster Council’s behalf.
Marketing
Advance would like to stay in contact with you and keep you informed on the latest business news, events, support services and surveys. We may also contact you about sponsorship and services, which may be of interest to you and your business.
Google Analytics – this feature allows us to collect data about the traffic, which comes to our site. This information could be used to "remarket" services of interest to our visitors on other sites using Google AdWords. The aim is to make sure that any advertising we create is as relevant as possible to our audience. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking.
Facebook Pixel - we have installed a tracking pixel across all pages to help us learn more about Facebook users' interests in the site. This information is used to create 'custom audiences' within Facebook to potentially allow us to create Facebook adverts targeted at members of these 'custom audiences'. The aim is to make sure that any advertising we create is as relevant as is reasonably possible to our audience.
Web Beacons - these are hidden site instrumentation that helps to determine whether a page has been viewed or not and if so, how many times and by whom.

Cookies

Advance will retain your personal information for the duration of your relationship and up to a maximum of 2 years thereafter. All financial data is retained for 6 years.

Data Protection Act of 2018
Advance is committed to protecting your privacy online. We will treat any personal information by which you can be identified, name, address, email etc, in accordance with the provisions of the Data Protection Act of 1998.
When communicating with the Advance team through the website we will not collect any information without your permission. There are a number of forms on the site that can be downloaded or that request feedback or surveys. In most cases, you are not required to provide us with any personal details. If we do require personal information, then the reasons for this will be stated on the individual form or questionnaire.
However, if you are willing to provide us with at least your email address it will allow us to respond to you direct. Additional personal details will allow us to measure the activity of our site.
