Doncaster Stewardship Scheme with Riverlution

The Stewardship Skills Scheme is a free programme that runs for one day a week over six months, starting in summer 2026 with rolling start dates from July.

It is a great chance to learn new skills, gain practical experience, and find out more about jobs in the environmental sector. Participants will work with local groups to learn about projects taking place in the area and help carry out hands-on activities to improve local rivers and green spaces. This is a great way to build confidence, meet new people, and make a positive difference to the local environment.

You'll get experince in:

• River and stream rewilding

• Repairing riverbanks

• Species identification

• Nature and history walks

• Litter and river clearance

• Tree and moorland planting

• Building infrastructure

Dates run every Tuesday throughout summer until next spring.
meeting point is Travel South Yorkshire Doncaster Interch, Station Court, Doncaster DN1 1PE, UK, we then travel out to various locations and then the participants are dropped back off at the same address.
